1. Button-down with dark slacks
If you notice the company you're interviewing for is business casual, you have a few options. A button-down shirt with gray, navy or black slacks with a color-coordinated tie demonstrates the preparation you made for the interview. You can get more creative with the tie if you want, but this is optional.

Additionally, be sure to try on all items before the day of the interview, so you know that everything fits, is clean and in good shape. Also, iron your button-down shirt before you try it on with the rest of your outfit. Dry cleaning your wardrobe is the best way to ensure you have a clean look for the day of your interview.

2. Textured blazer
A tweed or corduroy blazer can still give off a professional appearance when you're interviewing with a hiring manager. However, it's recommended that you keep it formal with a textured blazer unless you're told otherwise. To keep it formal, pair the blazer with a tie, button-down and slacks to give a serious but unique impression.

3. Navy blue blazer
The navy blue blazer is a shift from the traditional black jacket during an interview. Consider wearing it with a tie depending on how formal the interview is. Also, wear the blue blazer with khakis and slacks to have it match and keep it stylish. Overall, the blue blazer gives you many wardrobe options to select from.

4. Eye-catching button-down
It's safe to say that you can get through an interview by wearing a traditional white button shirt with a black tie, slacks and a suit jacket. If an employer you interview with says you can be more casual, take a chance on a distinguishing button-down. In this case, you can decide to not wearing a tie and let the color of the button-down stand out. A dark blue button-down is one example, but try to experiment with a color that matches your look.

5. Ties
You'll want to be more conservative with your choice of a tie for a job interview. Moreover, employers want to see you have a professional look when you arrive at their company, but you have more choices to pick from in a business casual environment such as a blue tie with a riveting design. Generally, a modest design consists of stripes or a checkered pattern that aligns with the color. This article of clothing is one of the determining factors to leaving a great first impression, so choose this piece carefully.

6. Button-down with a sweater
The sweater over the button-down is an optimal outfit for a business casual interview. Brown and black are legitimate colors to select for sweaters that can be paired well with other colors for the button-down like green or white. This is paired well with khakis or even jeans if they're a new business.

7. Light-colored suit and pants
A khaki blazer is a suitable choice if you're unsure of what to wear for the interview. Make sure that you have slacks that match with the blazer and wear a tie just in case. It's better to overdress by wearing a tie to a job interview. If you have time you contact the hiring manager for clarification.

8. Loafers
It's required for you to wear closed-toed shoes for a job interview. Therefore, wearing loafers is the best bet and it puts the rest of your wardrobe together nicely.

9. Socks
Socks are one of the ancillary pieces of clothing that a hiring manager may not see during an interview, but it's important to match the color of your socks with the rest of your wardrobe. For example, plain, black socks go with a black suit and pants, same goes for navy blue or brown socks. You can decide to have stripes or a checkered design for your socks, but the important thing is the main color matches your outfit.

10. Polo shirt
Wearing a polo is ideal if you're in a warmer climate, and if the company has a business casual environment. If you decide to wear a polo shirt, then wear khakis with it to give it a more professional look.

11. Belt
You should wear a belt with your pants despite the dress requirements. Keep in mind to match your belt with the color of your shoes to help ensure success during an interview.
